Daniel Boyd

Daniel Boyd is the Vice President of Technology for U.S. Energy Development Corporation and joined the company in 2018. Mr. Boyd is responsible for overseeing and managing the Firm’s technology infrastructure and management. 

In his role, Mr. Boyd helped successfully launch an electronic investor onboarding system and implement an electronic accounts payable invoicing system.  He also transitioned the firm’s sales and service departments to a modern Microsoft Dynamics CRM and migrated U.S. Energy’s server infrastructure securely to the cloud. Mr. Boyd was instrumental in implementing the Traction Entrepreneurial Operating System, as well as assisted with the creation of an automated well election process.

Prior to joining U.S. Energy, Mr. Boyd gained valuable oil & gas technology experience holding positions as a Senior Software Engineer and IT Director/GIS Manager. While with Petromax Operating, Mr. Boyd designed and managed the company’s information and technology security infrastructure, GIS mapping system, internal databases enabling efficient reporting of key performance indicators, and an array of custom software applications. 

After his career with Petromax, Mr. Boyd worked with WildHorse Resources, where he designed a reporting system that enabled the company to efficiently track key metrics for several major acquisitions for an asset comprising over 400,000 net acres.

Mr. Boyd attended the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing his Executive MBA degree from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.
